Please don’t ask, I silently begged Peter hoping he would hear my desperate request. Of course he just had to ask the dreaded question, what happened?
With that, my dad went into story telling mode. You see, he can’t give you a straight answer. No matter how simple the question is he will give you a complete well rounded answer and sometimes you end up more confused and with more questions than you started with. Except now you fear asking because he will talk for another half an hour before he even begins answering the question.
You would think Peter would know all this by now. Yet he still fell for it. So we ended up listening to a story that included a couple of years of history along with an animated narration. Yes, it is quite entertaining, yet sometimes I just wish he could give a yes or no answer.
